Senators Aim To Make It Harder For Trump Administration To Ease Russia Sanctions

The bipartisan amendment expands existing sanctions on Russia. The Senate will consider it as part of an Iran sanctions bill that already has wide support.

A new amendment strengthens existing sanctions and imposes new sanctions for human rights abuses, supplying arms to Syria’s regime and “malicious cyber activity” on behalf of the Russian government.
